What is April Brews Day?
In case you are new to town, or haven't got out of the house much in the last 19 years, April Brews Day is a craft beer tasting event and fundraiser that is one of the first beer festivals (and definitely the best) of the Northwest! It is historically held at Depot Market Square, on the last Saturday of April. 2020 brought us new surprises, so April Brews Day was postponed until August 15, 2020 at 6:30pm (VIP Hour is 5:30 - 6:30). April Brews Day is celebrating its 19th anniversary this year and we have a celebration in store! There will be live music, 65 craft breweries, local food trucks, custom merchandise (for sale) and prizes! As the slogan goes, "Let it Rain Beer!"
What does this event benefit?
Great question! April Brews Day benefits the Max Higbee Center, a recreation center that provides services for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. For more information, visit maxhigbeecenter.org. Every single dollar you spend inside the event helps fund our programs- so be sure to raise a beer to the Max Higbee Center and know you're drinking for a good cause!
If I'm traveling from out of town, how do I reserve tickets?
Tickets will be sold online beginning July 1st at 7am!
What does my ticket get me?
VIP Ticket Holders: receive an hour early admission, shorter lines and smaller crowds, pretzels, a collectible tasting glass and 10 tasting tickets.
General Admission Ticket Holders: receive a collectible stainless steel tasting cup, pretzels and 8 tasting tickets.
If I don't plan on drinking, do I still need to purchase a ticket?
Only if you want to get into the event. Yes. Every person entering the event needs to purchase a ticket. But here's the good news: You can use your tasting tickets for non-alcoholic beverages and food, too!
Can I purchase more tasting tickets inside the event?
Yep- we'll take your money for as many drinks as you want (well, to a point). Be sure to bring cash or checks, or you can purchase more tickets at our credit cards stations (additional 2.7% processing fee).
WHERE do I purchase more tasting tickets inside the event?
Inside the Depot Market Square building, there are tables labeled "Purchase more tickets HERE!" These tables accepts cash, checks and credit cards. Additionally, we have Roving Ticket Sellers out in the beer garden. Just look for volunteers walking around with rolls of tickets yelling, "More tickets for sale!" These folks will only accept cash or checks.
Do you accept credit cards inside the event?
We do now! Believe it or not, we are starting to catch up with the times of technology. Our tasting ticket sales tables, admissions and merchandise are all equipped to process credit cards. But, beware- there is a 2.7% processing fee added on to every transaction!
Do you accept Canadian Currency?
We will accept Canadian CHECKS, but not cash.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, due to limited space and high volume of people, furry friends are not allowed. Service animals are permitted.

Are there Gluten Free/Vegan options?
Yep- we jumped on the Gluten Free bandwagon a few years ago! GF drink options include ciders, GF beer, root beer, kombucha and more! And each food vendor will have at least one GF and Vegan option.
What time should I arrive to get in line?
The earlier the better! For VIP, it is recommended to arrive by 5:00pm at the latest. We work hard to get everyone in the VIP line ID'ed, braceleted and in the door by 5:40pm- so the earlier you can arrive to go through this process, the faster we'll get you in!
For General Admission, the line begins forming as early as 5:00pm. We recommend arriving as early as you can to help get in the door quickly. Having your ID ready and your ticket purchased in advance helps, too.
What should I bring with me?
Every attendee MUST bring a valid ID! We also recommend bringing plenty of cash, checks or your credit card, and a raincoat. NO outdoor food or beverage is allowed! There will be bag checks at admissions.
